London Bubble’s Summer Parks Tour for 2002 was a production of Shakespeare’s rarely performed play that tells the story of a prince who undertakes a series of perilous journeys in his pursuit of love and happiness.

Pericles was the company’s first production of a Shakespeare play since the 1998 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Artistic Director Jonathan Petherbridge had long seen it as a play that would suit the promenade style very well, with the story taking place in several different lands, inviting the audience to follow Pericles on his journeys.
