It’s not often you find estate agents, estate managers and consultants all frantically searching for oversized wheat sheaves or pink cow’s udders… but that’s exactly what happened this Shrove Tuesday in and around The Scoop at London Bridge City.
London Bubble brought together a diverse business community from across SE1 for the Flipping Marvellous Pancake Race. Highly competitive and fun, the event also raised money for Young Theatre Makers – Bubble’s training programme to get young people back into work and education.
In its 5th year, the race challenged teams to hunt, gather and flip their way around London Bridge City, cheered on by their colleagues. Each team was joined by a young person from Bubble as part of the programme’s aim to develop an innovative model of corporate engagement.
Participating businesses included Source8, London Bridge City, Hudson Fuggle, St George, Team London Bridge and Knight Frank. London Bridge City flipped their way to victory. Supporting businesses included Knight Frank, Absolutely Starving, Cote Brasserie, The Bridge, M&S and Majestic Wines who all generously donated prizes. Knight Frank was also the ingredients sponsor for the race.

We suggest a donation of £250 but organisations are free to donate as little or as much as they wish. It is not a barrier to participation in this fun challenge.
