‘WE NEED TO ACT ON‘ was an evening of original theatre, created and performed by some of the young people that London Bubble works with regularly.
These short plays focused on issues and concerns raised by young people during our ‘foraging’ sessions and highlight the social observations that they share.
The evening included a performance of ‘CARGO‘ – a brand new piece of forum theatre created and performed by our current Young Theatre Makers cohort.
Derek’s 18 and living his best life; a career in music dazzles in front of him.
Ruth’s going to Oxford and is making her parents proud.
Two young people with their dreams packed and ready to deliver. But peel back the packaging and the thoughts and feelings beneath threaten to disrupt the journey. Is their cargo worth its weight? And can they lighten the load before the ship sinks? This brand new play delves deep into what it feels like to hold onto something precious amid turbulence.
Join us for an evening celebrating these provoking works created by young theatre makers and to think about the issues they feel ‘we need to act on‘ right now!
