2022 is our 50th anniversary year. That’s HALF A CENTURY of making, playing, sharing, storytelling, acting, challenging, connecting and most of all EMPOWERING people to be their authentic selves.
To celebrate this truly exciting milestone, we held a Golden Street Party on Saturday 3rd September 2022.
taking over Elephant Lane!
Our theme was black and gold and the street was transformed with balloon arches, long tables, bubbles, bunting, and giant games. The whole day buzzed with activities, including:
- Original performances from our older adults, children's holiday project groups, young theatre makers, and Speakerbox
- A DJ, a magician and a face-painter
- Garden games and a 50 quiz
- A mini-concert from local choir Starling Voices
- Bubble birthday cupcake presentation

Bubblers attended including performers, members, family, friends, staff, trustees, freelancers, locals and neighbours.

creative freelancers were employed to act, facilitate theatre or document the event.
