A play for 3 to 8 year olds, and all who work with them.
You Can’t Say You Can’t Play was a piece of theatre based on the book of the same name by Vivian Gussin Paley, the American teacher and writer whose work has provided the basis for London Bubble’s projects in early years settings in recent years.
Following ongoing projects in nursery schools, and a major conference at the British Library, London Bubble decided to create a piece of theatre using Paley’s techniques as its inspiration.
The play was designed for children aged from to 3 to 8, and adults who care for and teach them. It explores how shared storytelling and story acting can help to tackle issues of exclusion in the classroom.
