Today we catch up with the newest member of Team Bubble, Alex H, to see how she’s getting on in her role as General Manager. Here are FIVE THINGS she wants you to know about her Bubble life so far:

I applied for the job because I liked the ethos of the company and was looking for a managerial role with scope.

The rest of Team Bubble are lovely!  Bubble operates with a small team supported by freelancers and everyone was so welcoming when I arrived.  Everyone is really committed and works collaboratively to achieve as much as we can together which is really refreshing.  Most staff seem to have been working for and with Bubble for a number of years so they are obviously comfortable working together which is always a good sign.

The most challenging part of my job so far is dealing with the constant changes.  Although I joined at a time when Covid-19 was on the wane, we did continue to get changing guidance about how best to work to keep everyone safe which has led to challenges.  This has also impacted the availability of funding and the funding which is available is hugely oversubscribed.

The most surprising thing about being part of the Bubble team is definitely how easy it was to just slot in and become assimilated!  It has been good getting to know everyone and become part of the team.

I’m looking forward to seeing where we can take everything.  We’ve had a lot of discussions of our future plans; what we’d like to achieve and how we might get there, so it will be good to help make some of that happen.
