Our belief in the importance of theatre, especially in times of difficulty, has kept us creating and connecting from home. In these globally challenging and uncertain times, the mission of Bubble Theatre is more important than ever. Social distancing, isolation and loneliness are just a few of the unsavoury dishes that this pandemic has served up. Whilst we managed to stay together (thanks zoom) the world actually slowed down; giving us time apart to take a breath and reflect. This reflection has ignited some bright new ideas for the Bubble, in the year ahead and beyond! Imagine Bubble but bigger. Imagine Bubble but better. We have a vision and we know exactly what we need to get us there:
£49k before the end of 2021.
This fund aims to support the work of all Bubble projects, as they respond to the next normal and grow to meet the increased demand of our Bubblers.
Why 49k? Because in 2021 Bubble will have been making theatre with and for communities in London for 49 years. We want to celebrate each treasured year a thousand pounds over and look forward to the future. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us reach our goal.
This month is #BubbleforOlderAdults month, where we will be aiming to bring our total up to £10k by October 30th! Can you help us? Here are some of the ways donations support Bubble Theatre to free older adults’ creative voices and foster a more connected and equal society:
£5 pays for refreshments at a Tea Break Theatre session
£50 allows us to replenish resources like sandpaper, drill bits and paint for the Rotherhithe Shed
£100 pays for a trained facilitator to lead a Tea Break Theatre or Rotherhithe Shed session
£1,000 pays for a trained facilitator to deliver a Tea Break Theatre group free of charge for a term for residents of a sheltered housing scheme
We invite individuals, families, community organisations, patrons, companies, trusts and foundations to join us on our #Bubble49k journey! Together people make theatre.
