Sagan - our resident chicken!

London Bubble brings together local companies with crepe expectations!

It’s not often you find estate agents, architects, legal advisers and hairdressers all frantically searching for over-sized wheat sheaves egged on by a giant chicken … but this Shrove Tuesday saw that very scene take place in More London.

Bubble invited companies from across the SE1 and SE16 communities for The Flipping Marvellous SE1 Charity Pancake Race
The event was held to raise money for Bubble’s LB+ training programme which uses a theatre-based approach to raise aspirations, build life skills and get young people back into work and education.

Following a warm up (led by the giant chicken, of course!) the teams were challenged to hunt, gather and flip their way around More London, cheered on by their colleagues.  Each team was joined by a young person from LB+ as part of the programme’s aim to develop an innovative model of corporate engagement.

9 participating teams represented businesses including Norton Rose Fulbright, PwC, Time and Talents, Architype, The Stress Exchange and Aqua Shard who raised money to support the event from the sale of pancakes in their restaurant on the 31st floor of The Shard.  Estate agents Kalmars flipped their way to victory, narrowly beating More London based The Futures Company in a photo finish.
