Support others to take part in our intergenerational performance project

Intergenerational interview
family workshops web

London Bubble makes theatre with the community and builds community through theatre. We bring together children, adults and artists to create exciting intergenerational projects.

We are creating a new performance piece exploring the subject of Primary schools. An intergenerational performance group is working with our creative team to explore the stories, opinions and artefacts we have gathered about primary schools through workshops and interviews, working towards a performance in early 2018.

The group is open to all ages and abilities, and there is no audition.

We are looking for volunteers to

- provide additional support to people taking part in our workshops who might benefit from it
- travel with them to and from the sessions if/when needed

Times & dates:
Our intergenerational group meets on Thursday evenings at London Bubble (5 Elephant Lane, SE16 4JD)
There will be some Sunday afternoon rehearsals closer to the performance dates.
Commitments are flexible, you don’t need to be available every week but we need to know in advance which dates you can do, and the level of commitment will increase as we get closer to the performance.
You would also have the opportunity to support events & trips throughout the year.

Is this right for me?

Yes, if you…
- Have an interest in and enjoy creative activities and the arts
- Are interested in meeting a diverse group of people, including adults living in sheltered housing
- Can get to know and listen to participants and support them around their specific needs
- Have or are willing to apply for a DBS check (processed by London Bubble free of charge)

We are particularly keen to engage with volunteers aged 59-69.
