Privacy Policy

London Bubble needs to keep certain information about its employees, participants and other users/partners to allow us to run projects efficiently, monitor activities and for health and safety purposes.  To comply with the law, information is collected and used fairly, stored safely and not disclosed to any other person unlawfully. 

Although as a not-for-profit organisation London Bubble is not covered by the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), in order to ensure that the data we collect and process is handled properly, fairly and confidentially, we will always abide by the data protection principles which are set out in the Act.  Accordingly, when dealing with personal records of project participants and audiences, we will make sure that personal information is:         

- obtained and processed fairly and lawfully         
- obtained for a specified and lawful purpose – for example employment, marketing or recruiting to and delivering one of our projects – and shall not be used in any manner incompatible with that purpose
- adequate, relevant and not excessive for that purpose
- accurate and kept up to date 
- not kept for longer than is necessary 
- kept safe from unauthorised access, accidental loss or destruction.

Collection of personal data
In most cases, the personal data held by London Bubble is obtained directly from the data subjects themselves, whether in the form of a paper document (such as a job application) or electronically (e.g. online).  We may also ask for information about particular health needs, such as allergies to particular forms of medication, or any medical condition such as asthma or diabetes. We will only use this information in the protection of the health and safety of the individual, but will need consent to process this data (including for example passing it on to emergency services) in the event of an incident.

Data Security and Storage
We collect and store personal and non-personal data that you may volunteer as part of booking tickets, making a purchase, becoming a Member or via donation forms, e-news sign-ups, visitor surveys or in connection with a specific project or event.

Personal information we collect may include: 
- Your full name and title and date of birth
- Postal address, email address and phone number
- IP (internet protocol) address
- Ticket purchase history
- Gift Aid status
- Payment card details (these are not stored, except if you have requested an Automatic Renewal Membership when they are stored securely by Sage Pay, an approved third party)
- Your contact and communication preferences – the information you have opted to receive from us about our work 

 We store personal data under strict safekeeping and confidentiality measures on secure servers operated by London Bubble and only accessible to authorised London Bubble staff. 

While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur when it is under our control, we use our best efforts to try to prevent this. Unfortunately, the transmission of data across the internet is not completely secure and while we do our best to try to protect the security of your information we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur while data is being transferred.
