Learn and share how to make withy lanterns for Illuminate Rotherhithe

Lantern procession
Lantern making

Take part in a series of free lantern making workshops led by local artist Cathy Wren, and then teach others how to make them.

The workshops are part of Illuminate Rotherhithe, a series of events seeking to engage the different communities within Rotherhithe and explore elements of local history. They will culminate in a community lantern procession on 23rd November.

We are looking for volunteers to
- Make a lantern for the procession
- Support us in delivering lantern making workshops to other local groups, including older adults that we work with in sheltered accommodation
- Take part in the procession on the evening of 23rd November
