Ishbel and I

A play about going to pieces and going on a bike ride

In July 2014 Bubble supported Julia Voce, Associate Artist, Care & Creativity with London Bubble, in taking her show Ishbel and I to Castle Woods (well loved stomping ground of many Bubble audiences!).

“Brilliant, emotional, heartwarming, life affirming”

A solo performer and two bicycles create the music, characters and worlds that take the audience on a moving, hilarious journey into the ups and downs of life in a large family.

My Sister, my Daughter, my Mother is falling apart.
How do I love her, when I need her to pull herself together?
Besides, she doesn’t even look ill.  And she’s funny.
How the heck are we meant to talk about this?
Well, first, get the bike out … here, I’ll go on this one, you can use the spare.

“Light, bright and blessed with theatrical verve”  The Scotsman

Suitable for ages 12 and over
Tickets £10 / £8

Performances ran from 19 – 26 July in Castle Woods in Oxleas Woodlands, Shooters Hill, SE18 3JA
