FAQs: Tales from the Arabian Nights

If you are coming to Bubble's Tales from the Arabian Nights this summer, here are some things you might like to know:

We are not posting out tickets so please don't worry when you don't receive them!  Just come to our box office by the bandstand in the park from 45 minutes before the show starts on the day and give your name.  We will email you roughly 2 days before the performance for which you've booked with more information.

Buying tickets on the day
Online sales will close at 1pm on the day of a performance.  If you'd like to come to see the show that night you can still book tickets in person by cash or card.  Just come to our box office by the bandstand from 45 minutes before the show starts.  You can only book tickets for that day's performance in the park.

How do I find you in the park?
The bandstand will be the starting point for the show in both parks.

Running time
We estimate the show will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes, including an interval.

The show is outdoors
This is an outdoor, evening show which moves around the park as night falls.  Please wear clothing suitable for our variable British climate and be prepare to walk short distances between scenes.  Please assume the performance is going ahead whatever the weather.  In the very unlikely circumstance that we cancel a performance we will contact you as far in advance as possible.

Travel - Greenwich Park
We encourage you to travel by public transport if at all possible.  
Greenwich Park is well-served by bus routes.  If you are travelling by train we recommend Blackheath or Greenwich railway stations, allowing around 15 minutes to walk to the bandstand.  Parking is available within the park via the Blackheath gate and is free to use after 6pm.  The postcode for electronic device users is SE10 8QY, but note this is for guidance only as the park covers a large area.  For more information about buses & other travel options please go to:

After the performance
St Mary’s Gate (pedestrian only) and Blackheath Gate (car & pedestrian) will be open at the end of the performance.  Please be aware that either gate is at least a 5 minute walk from the bandstand where the performance starts and finishes. Please note we are unable to open the Maze Hill exit at the end of the performance.

Seating and refreshments
Stools, rugs and chairs will be provided to sit on and you will be asked to carry them with you as the performance moves around the park.
There will be a bar onsite serving beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks for your refreshment.  

Pre & post-show menu at The Trafalgar Tavern
Our friends at The Trafalgar Tavern are generously supporting the show and have created a special theatre express menu that you can enjoy before/ after the show. You can find them at Park Row, London SE10 9NW.

We have two portaloos available for our audience to use.

Access and mobility
The performance moves around the park and requires the audience to walk short distances between scenes.  If you find walking more difficult we suggest you come to a Southwark Park performance where the ground is flatter.
