Be part of a singing group that will provide the choral content for London Bubble’s intergenerational performance project.
After Hiroshima explores how the dropping of the first atomic bomb, on August 6, 1945, was reported in London and how the longer term response grew into the peace movement of the 1950s and ’60s. Like London Bubble’s previous projects, the performance by an intergenerational cast is based on interviews with Londoners who lived through the period.
Singer / songwriter / musical director Fran Lobo will direct the choir, with music will be a mixture of anthems from the protest movement, along with original compositions. The musical content will be woven into the action and the choir will perform alongside Bubble’s volunteer performers.
Singers of all ages and experience (or none) are most welcome to join us. No audition.
