Impressive, Welcomed, Courageous - just some of the words used to describe Creative Homes.
On Wednesday 11th September our two Creative Homes groups came together to share and celebrate their work at Bubble HQ.
Over the last year Bubble has been working with residents in Frank Whymark House and Ronald Buckingham Court, two sheltered housing settings in our local area. A small group from each home meets every fortnight for a facilitated conversation and interactive workshop led by London Bubble theatre makers and practitioners.
Mary, one of our participants, summed up her involvement in Creative Homes by saying that she hopes "after you watch our performance you don't think of us as OAPs but you think of us as recycled teenagers"
This week we welcomed both groups to Bubble to share the work they have developed to a small audience and the Bubble community.
We sang, we talked, we heard stories of 'these hands my lovely life have made' and, of course, we ate some cake!

We are now looking to develop Creative Homes in other settings in South East London.
